05、电极在使用时要提前放在电炉旁进行干燥，温度不超过150度，时间不应少于24小时。
06、电极在使用时，要用专用工具将钢包带剪断，而不得用吊车将其拉断。
07、电极的连接，首先要清除干净电极的螺纹，把接头小心旋入电极一端，把吊装接头旋入电极另一端，不得碰撞螺纹，不建议把接头直接装入炉上正使用的电极。
08、绝对不允许用钢丝团或金属刷、砂布清理电极的螺纹，只能使用不含油和水的压缩空气清除。
09、要使用带可旋转的弹性吊钩，在电极接头的下面垫上柔软的支撑垫，以防损坏螺纹。
